2001 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO GEAR SHIFT ISSUES AND VEHICLE ELECTRICAL OR COMPUTER MALFUNCTIONS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED IT WAS OFTEN HARD TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE FROM PARK TO REVERSE OR PARK TO DRIVE AS THE RELEASE PIN ON THE FLOOR SHIFT SOMETIMES REQUIRED EXTREME FORCE TO RELEASE THE SHIFT MECHANISM FROM PARK. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. A DIAGNOSTIC TEST REVEALED THE OXYGEN SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SUDDENLY BECAME TRAPPED IN THE VEHICLE.
