TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 EXPRESS G1500. WHILE TAKING THE VEHICLE TO FIRESTONE FOR REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIE RODS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SHE TOOK HER VEHICLE BACK TO CHEVROLET AND THEY MADE THE REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWO MORE TIMES WITHIN THE PAST YEAR TO HAVE THE TIE RODS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE 20 INCH TIRES ON HER VEHICLE WERE OVERSIZED AND CAUSED THE TIE RODS TO FAIL. AS A RESULT, THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT REPLACE THE TIE RODS AFTER THE THIRD RE…

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET G1500. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED A CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. THE STEERING BECAME LOOSE WHEN MANEUVERING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT AND BEARINGS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED TO CALL NHTSA AND FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
