The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the steering wheel became difficult to turn in either direction. Additionally, the steering was sticking while turning. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the rack and pinion was faulty and needed to be replaced. The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado equipped with Goodyear Tires. Tire Line: Wrangler Duratrac, Tire Size: LT265/65/R17. The contact stated that he noticed that while driving on wet pavement, both rear driver and passenger side tires would brake lose and spin upon acceleration from a complete stop without warning. The tires had yet to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer nor the dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50.

Failure of the steering column to release the ignition key. The common failure occurs without warning or advance notice and may be an intermittent issue. Safety Issues: Unable to remove key from the ignition column results in: Inability to lock vehicle, potentially placing passangers at peril. Battery keeps draining and leaves you stranded at home or at a parking garage. GM knows that over 250,000 vehicles are affected in the Chevy, GMC line and apparently has spread to Cadillac. The problem is that when GM does over the air updates to the vehicles, the computer software will not disconnect and drains the batteries.

Loss of power steering, Truck repaired by GM dealer, he stated it was the same failure mode described in Recall notice N2023254 10. The repair even though the same as the previous failures was not covered by GM because my VIN was not in GMs recall notice. Looking at this website there a number of reports of power steering failures for later model Colorado and Canyons that were not covered by the recall. While driving our 2022 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 (VIN: [XXX]) through an active roadway intersection at approximately midnight, the vehicle experienced a sudden, uncommanded complete loss of motive power and stalled without advance warning.
