The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH and towing a trailer, the vehicle made an abnormal popping sound as if the transmission was jumping in and out of gear, and the vehicle lunged forward. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated he heard a loud roaring sound coming from the engine as if the engine was sucking air. The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact stated while driving at 60 MPH, the vehicle jerked forward. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had occurred approximately 13-14 times. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that there were metal shavings inside the transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.
