TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 BMW 750LI. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE TRANSMISSION FAULT LIGHT ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFT FAILED TO SWITCH FROM THE PARK POSITION. APPROXIMATELY TWO YEARS AGO I BEGAN EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY FILLING UP WITH GAS AT THE PUMP, AS FOLLOWS: AFTER FILLING 1-5 GALLONS IN THE NORMAL MANNER, THE THE GAS PUMP SHUTS OFF INDICATING THAT MY GAS TANK IS FULL, WHEN IN FACT I'VE HARDLY PUMPED ANY GAS AT ALL. I WITHDRAW THE NOZZLE, REINSERT IT AND BEGIN TO PUMP AGAIN. THE PUMP CONTINUES TO SHUT OFF AFTER PUMPING VERY LITTLE GAS. THIS PROCESS MUST BE REPEATED 10-15 TIMES TO FILL UP THE TANK. The contact owns a 2008 BMW 750LI. The contact stated that upon refueling the vehicle, he smelled a strong gas odor. The contact recalled that the same issue had occurred with a BMW vehicle that he previously owned, so he drove the vehicle to his residence and restarted it.
