BMW 2013 750LI DRIVETRAIN MALFUNCTION RE-OCCURRING CAUSING ROUGH START AND WHILE DRIVING HIGHWAY 485 VANOS SOLENOIDS & VALVE COVERS HAVE BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES WITHIN 7 MONTHS ON MY VEHICLE THAT HAS 22,000 MILES. MY FULL SERVICE WARRANTY IS GOING TO EXPIRE AT THE END OF 2016. ACCORDING TO RECENT REPORTS BMW IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE ON THE N63 ENGINE AND SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON VARIOUS PARTS. THE BOLTS THAT SECURE THE HOUSING FOR THE VARIABLE CAMSHAFT TIMING ADJUSTMENT (VANOS) UNIT CAN LOOSEN OVER TIME AND MAY POSSIBLY BREAK. THE ENGIN…

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 BMW 750I. WHILE DRIVING AT A NORMAL RATE OF SPEED, THE DRIVETRAIN MALFUNCTION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE TAIL PIPE. AS THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, IT MISFIRED. UPON STARTING, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT OPERATE AT FULL CAPACITY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AND EMITTED AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THEY STATED THAT THIS WAS A WIDESPREAD …

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 BMW 750I. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES. THE CONTACT STATED HE HAD EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE FOUR TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE UPPER FUEL PUMP WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.
