TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW 325XI. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE DEALER OFFERED $200.00 TOWARDS THE TOTAL REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 45,620.

MY 2006 BMW 325XI HAS HAD THE AMBER STEERING LOCK LIGHT ON FOR OVER A MONTH AND WILL NOT GO OFF. IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR AND BMW HAS REFUSED TO FIX IT. MY CAR IS 3000 MILES PAST THE WARRANTY AND IT NEEDS A NEW STEERING COLUMN. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW 325XI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE CONCERNING THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AGAIN AND STATED THAT THE INDEPENDENT BATTERY SYSTEM CORE HAD FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS LOCKED IN THE VEHICLE UNTIL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE CAME OUT TO CHARGE THE BATTERY. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 94,000.

BMW 3 SERIES, 2006, E90 BODY TYPE. AFTER INSERTING THE KEY IN THE CONTACT ALL POWER WENT OFF. I EXPERIENCED TWICE SUCH COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER, FOR THE ENTIRE VEHICLE: ENGINE, DOORS, LIGHTS AND EVEN THE KEY CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM CONTACT. ONCE I TOUCHED THE BATTERY WITH A VOLTMETER AND MEASURED THE VOLTAGE (THAT WAS PERFECT) THE POWER CAME BACK. THOUGH AFTER THE POWER WAS RESTORED WHILE DRIVING TO DEALERSHIP THE CAR STARTED TO BEHAVE ERRATICALLY, WINDSHIELD WIPERS STARTING BY THEMSELVES, RADIO TURNING ON AND OFF, NOISE IN THE BACK OF THE CAR ( …

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW 325XI. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. UPON RESTARTING IT, THE VEHICLE RESPONDED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOUR TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE ABS, DSC AND AWD WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED SPORADICALLY ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR WAS THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR ROUTINE REPAIRS WHEN HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER WOULD NEED TO BE REPAIRED BECAUSE OIL WAS LEAKING INSIDE THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND RENDERING THE BRAKES USELESS.
