Reported: 2006-05-17 (May 17, 2006) · Model years: 2006
ON CERTAIN TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH IMT AXLES, DUE TO IMPROPER MATERIAL USED ON THE AXLE SPINDLE, THE SPINDLE CAN BEND OR BREAK.
Consequence: A BROKEN SPINDLE CAN ALLOW THE WHEEL TO SEPARATE FROM THE TRAILER, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE AXLE AFTER TESTING,IF NECESSARY. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT YET PROVIDED AN OWNER NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT BEDARD TANKERS AT 514-937-1670.
