WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH WHEN THE CAR MADE A "CLUNK" SOUND AND I LOST ANY ABILITY TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND NOTHING HAPPENED. THE STEERING WHEEL COMPLETELY LOCKED AND I HAD NO ABILITY TO TURN THE WHEEL. I COASTED DOWN A HILL AND THE WHEEL UNLOCKED, BUT I HAD NO POWER STEERING AND STILL NO ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. THIS HAS BEEN THE THIRD TIME MY AUDI A6 3.0T HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER SINCE PURCHASING IT AS A CPO VEHICLE FOR A STEERING WHEEL JERK AND SQUEAK PROBLEM AT ANY SPEED. IT WANTS TO MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL (SINCE IT IS ELECTRONIC) SLIGHTLY AS WELL AS SQUEAK. I BELIEVE THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL NOTICE FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT MY DEALER HAS YET TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM AND MANY MANY OTHERS HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE. 2014 AUDI A6. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO A LOUD SCREECHING NOISE WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. *SMD THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THERE WAS SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE, AND WHEN SHE PARKED THE VEHICLE IN THE GARAGE, SMOKE FILLED THE ENTIRE GARAGE. AT 5PM ON JULY 20, 2016 I DROVE MY A6 TO THE HOME OF MY GRANDDAUGHTERS FRIEND, THEY ARE BOTH 15 YRS. OLD AND WERE IN THE CAR AT THE TIME, TO DROP HER OFF . MY 2014 A6 AUDI RESULTED IN A FAILURE OF THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING ASSIST SYSTEM WHICH CAUSE LOSS OF POWER STEERING. IT TOOK EVERYTHING I HAD TO STEER IT HOME. I WAS GIVEN A MESSAGE NOT TO DRIVE AND TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP.

My car was manufactured with defective pistons. The pistons are resulting in reduced oil pressure in my engine, which can result in a sudden loss of power. I had my engine inspected, and the attached photographs depict that the original pistons that shipped with my car caused scoring to the cylinder walls which is causing metal pieces to collect in my engine. I have recently purchased my 2014 Audi A6 in Honolulu at JN Autogroup. After just a couple days of driving the vehicle I have noticed that the car started to smell like gas in and out of the vehicle. The smell is very potent and very sensible throughout every second of driving and I am reporting this because this could be very hazardous and I may not know if it could catch on fire with the amount of fumes that is lingering around.
