Altec AT SERIES recalls by model year

Altec industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2014-2026 AT Series Aerial Device vehicles. The transmission park interlock may be missing, allowing the aerial device to operate while the chassis is not in park.

Consequence: An aerial device that operates while the vehicle is in gear or neutral can cause unexpected vehicle movement and increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Altec will update the electrical harness and control modules, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3331.

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2020 TA Series, 2019 L Series Aerial Device, 2018-2025 Service Body, LS Series, and AT Series trucks. The Power Distribution Module (PDM 10) circuit may experience a voltage spike, which can damage the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) and disrupt chassis functions, including the PTO switch, rearview mirror, or rearview camera.

Consequence: A damaged TCCM and disrupted chassis functions can result in a loss of handling and control or brake performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Altec will install a diode to the ignition hot circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 8, 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3229.

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2019-2024 AT Series vehicles. The lower emergency stop may not function when the upper control is selected.

Consequence: An emergency stop that does not shut off the unit during an emergency increases the risk of death or serious injury.

Remedy: Altec will correct the wiring between the power distribution module and the machine harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 16, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3265.

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2022-2025 AT Series, 2021-2025 AN Series Aerial Device, 2020-2026 TA Series Aerial Device, 2021 L Series Aerial Device, 2021 LR Series Aerial Device, 2023-2025 AM Series Aerial Device, and 2024-2025 AA Series Aerial Device vehicles. The ground level emergency stop (E-stop) may not stop hydraulic functions of the machine when the machine is in ePTO mode.

Consequence: Hydraulic functions that do not immediately stop when the ground level E-stop is pressed, increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Altec will inspect the units and test to verify the E-stop function. If the wiring is found to be incorrect, it will be updated, free of charge. Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2024 AT and TA series aerial devices, and ST series spray bodies. The fuel or brake lines may not be properly secured, which can cause the lines to become damaged and leak.

Consequence: A brake fluid leak can cause brake failure, increasing the risk of a crash. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the brake and fuel lines. If improperly secured, Altec will provide a kit to secure the lines. If the lines are damaged, dealers will repair the fuel and brake lines. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 23, 2025. Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2024 AT200A aerial trucks. Inadequate clearance between the hydraulic hoses and the engine exhaust manifold may result in the hoses overheating.

Consequence: Hydraulic hoses that overheat can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Altec will install a remedy kit to secure the hose routing farther away from the exhaust manifold, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 22, 2024. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3189.

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2024-2026 AT Series vehicles. The turntable rotation bearing fasteners may not have been heat treated properly.

Consequence: A fastener that has not been heat treated could fail, resulting in separation of the pedestal and turntable, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Altec will instruct owners to inspect the lot number on the fasteners and, if necessary, order a rotation bolt kit to replace the fasteners, or schedule service with Altec, free of charge.
