Owner report 10547849 · 2013-10-14 (October 14, 2013)

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY WHEN THE BACK-END OF THE CAR BECAME VERY LOOSE AND OUT OF CONTROL. THE CAR WAS SWERVING BACK AND FORTH VIOLENTLY. I WAS ABLE TO GAIN CONTROL AVOIDING THE CARS TO THE LEFT OF ME AND THE DITCH TO THE RIGHT. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR UNDER CONTROL AND I SLOWED THE SPEED WAY DOWN. I PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND INTO A DRIVEWAY TO INSPECT. I FOUND THE PASSENGER REAR TIRE TILTED INWARDS TOWARDS THE CAR AT ABOUT A 20 DEGREE ANGLE AND FOUND THE TIE ROD THAT CONNECTS THE CAR TO THE NEW ALL WHEEL STEERING DEVICE DISCONNE…

Owner report 10626646 · 2014-08-20 (August 20, 2014)

THE RLX HAS ALL WHEEL STEERING. THE REAR STEERING WHEEL ACTUATORS MAKE A GROANING SOUND, WHICH ACURA HAS NOT EVALUATED FOR POTENTIAL SAFETY CONCERNS. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE PART IS DEFECTIVE AND COULD LEAD TO LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IF IT FAILS. ACURA KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM AND HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX IT DUE TO THE UNAVAILABILITY OF CORRECTED PARTS. *TR

Owner report 10555825 · 2013-12-12 (December 12, 2013)

DEER WERE CROSSING THE ROAD IN FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE ON THIS VEHICLE TO TURN OFF OR DIM HEADLIGHTS UNLESS VEHICLE IS IN PARK OR PARKING BRAKE IS ON (HENCE A COMPLETE STOP). DEER FROZE IN THE HEADLIGHTS AND I HAD TO COMPLETELY STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD IN ORDER TO HAVE THE DEER SAFELY MOVE ON (ONCE LIGHTS WERE OUT). THIS IS A HAZARD TO ME, ANYONE BEHIND ME AND OTHER DRIVERS TRAVELING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. TURNING OFF THE HEADLIGHTS WHILE MOVING WILL KEEP THE DEER MOVING MOST OF THE TIME. Owner report 10671155 · 2015-01-08 (January 8, 2015)

AT LESS THAN 1000 MILES, THE CAR STARTED TO INTERMITTENTLY ALERT ME TO BRAKE WHEN THERE IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF THE CAR AND THERE IS A CAR IN THE BLINDSPOT WHEN NONE THERE. THESE ISSUES HAVE CONTINUED FOR THE TWO YEARS I HAVE OWNED THE CAR. THE DEALER HAS HAD THE CAR FOR WEEKS AT THE TIME AND CANNOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM. I HAD A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE STEERING WHEEL MAKING A LOUD SQUEAL BUT WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THIS WAS NORMAL. AFTER SEVERAL COMPLAINTS, THEY REALIZE THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. ONE OF THE COMPUTER SCREEN FREEZES A…

Owner report 10637812 · 2014-09-21 (September 21, 2014)

WHILE DRIVING SOUTH ON U.S. 1, A SIX LANE ROAD, I PLACED A TELEPHONE CALL USING THE BUTTONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. SHORTLY AFTER THE CALL WAS CONNECTED, THE CAR'S WARNING ALARM SOUNDED AND AN "I" APPEARED IN THE INFORMATION DISPLAY. FRANTICALLY TRYING TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM WHILE DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, I USED THE CONTROL ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO SCROLL DOWN THE INFORMATION LIST AND FOUND A RED DISPLAY SAYING "12 VOLT BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM PROBLEM". BECAUSE TRAFFIC WAS SO THICK, I DECIDED NOT TO TRY TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHE…

Owner report 11462693 · 2022-04-29 (April 29, 2022)

The steering ability and rear suspension failed on the vehicle. I was driving straight on a major interstate and the car veered to the right. I was able to correct the vehicle by turning the steering wheel to the left. This happened on several occasions during this particular weekend. However, 2 weeks prior to this incident, I received forward collision warnings, brake warnings, and lane departure warnings. I researched this issue online and it said it could possibly be a defective battery which I had recently replaced. The battery never failed…

Owner report 11753577 · 2026-07-29 (July 29, 2026)

The car died on the freeway, tow truck towed contacted mechanic next day and they came and diagnosed the car and needed a crank shaft sensor and change was complete. Car is still showing the same issues stalls approximately 30 to 40 mins of idle I had mechanic pull live data stream from scanner upon monitoring short term fuel trim bank 1 still shows that the fuel pump is seizing one warm, causing the car to stall, which is a huge safety issue I have a 5 month old and 8 year old in the car when she stalled on the freeway. Pump is seizing when it…

Owner report 11723626 · 2026-03-11 (March 11, 2026)

On my 2020 Acura RLX hybrid: On the same day, once in a parking lot and once on a side drive, traveling at less than 15mph but more than 5mph, the car suddenly accelerated upon which I slowed the car dowm by braking lightly. I have no idea why this happened. The original equipment rubber floor mat was correctly fastened and was not near the accelerator. The car only has 14,000 miles, is lightly driven. The fuel pump was replaced a year ago on tab recall. No other issues have been noticed.

Owner report 10551628 · 2013-11-09 (November 9, 2013)

VEHICLE WILL NOT SHIFT INTO 3RD GEAR AT RANDOM TIMES - THIS CAN BE WHEN UNDER MODERATE LOAD TO LIGHT LOAD. THIS WILL LIMIT THE CAR TO A SPEED TO APPROX. 50MPH, THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT UNTIL THE VEHICLE HAS SLOWED DOWN 10+MPH AND SOMETIMES WILL REQUIRE YOU TO COME TO A DEAD STOP TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY. THIS HAS CAUSED A HANDFUL OF SAFETY RISK AS YOU CANNOT FORCE THE VEHICLE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP IN SOME INSTANCES - LIKE MERGING ON A HIGHWAY OR A HIGHWAY WITHOUT A SHOULDER. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO 4 OTHER RLX THAT HAVE BEEN DOCUME…
