TL* THE CONTACT LEASED A 2018 ACURA ILX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE FAILED TO PROPERLY INDICATE WHEN THERE WAS FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. DUE TO THE INACCURATE READING, THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL. THE DEALER (ELITE ACURA, 2840 NJ-73, MAPLE SHADE TOWNSHIP, NJ 08052, [phone removed]) INDICATED THAT THIS WAS A KNOWN FAILURE FOR THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE TO DETERMINE A REMEDY. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 ACURA ILX. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE FUEL GAUGE FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE ERRONEOUSLY DISPLAYED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL. IT IS A BRAND NEW 2018 ILX WE BOUGHT IN OCTOBER. JUST DRIVING IT A FEW DAYS WE FOUND THE FUEL GAUGE IS NOT WORKING. IT ALWAYS SHOWS FULL TANK. WE BROUGHT IT TO ACURA DEAL AND WAS TOLD IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE FUEL PUMP WITH MANY NEW 2018 ILX.

The contact owns a 2018 Acura ILX. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V859000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The contact owns a 2018 Acura ILX. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V859000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the remedy was not yet available. The contact stated while driving at 30 MPH, while the brake pedal was depressed the brakes failed to engage; the contact had to crash into the medium in between both sides of the street to avoid a crash. The vehicle began experiencing a steering and suspension malfunction that made the car difficult to control, particularly at low speeds and when turning. There was increased vibration, unusual noise from the front end, and a noticeable pull to one side. These symptoms created a safety risk because loss of steering stability could have led to a crash, especially in traffic or on highways. The vehicle was taken to a Honda dealership for diagnosis.
