Reported: 2023-01-13 (January 13, 2023) · Model years: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023

ABS Remorques (ABS) is recalling certain 2014-2023 RC, WC, LRC, and LWC semi-trailers. The coupling plate may deteriorate, resulting in failure of the king pin and trailer detachment.

Consequence: A detached trailer cannot be controlled and may overturn or obstruct the road, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Semi-trailer owners are advised to inspect for any coupling plate or king pin damage prior to operation. If damage is found, owners should not operate the trailer until it has been repaired. ABS authorized service facilities will replace the coupling plates, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 2, 2023. Owners may contact ABS customer service at 819-879-6216.
